yes, yes…it’s friday again.
it used to mean one thing for me: jeans.
now, i also connect it with cory and his friday five. my class has grown to love this activity so much. hopefully, cory won’t grow tired of kindergarten questions…though goodness knows i could understand if he did.
jeans first:
knowing what a big deal this is to me, a friend sent me a related link the other day. she’s prepping for texas’ alternative teaching and apparently, the opinion on teachers and/in jeans varies.
based on my experience, my kids are obedient and respectful because that’s what’s expected from them. whether i’m in an evening gown or my pajamas (both of which i’ve worn to school), they rise to the level i’ve set for them.
jeans don’t take from that; they simply make me happy.
friday five:
take a trip over to 32n5w to read this week’s question and answer session with the hive’s favorite non-teacher/parent grown-up! be sure to check out the second comment for our response to cory’s answers and follow-up questions.

I LOVE this!
Read my comment on Cory’s blog about how well Elias really swims though. LOL

You’ve got me looking forward to Fridays for the Friday Five now, too! And, as always, I’m happy for Jeans Day. (To clarify, that’s YOUR jeans day, since I get to wear jeans every day, not to rub it in or anything…)
