friday five

sure it’s monday but sometimes that’s what you get.

last week’s friday five had a challenge rather than a question:

try to incorporate dancing into your week and tell us how it goes!

let’s see how the five did…and feel free to share any dancing adventures of your own.

friday fiver

today has been a wonderful day!

last night, my man surprised me when i spied with my little eyes a sephora bag waiting for me after my class just because he likes me.  his awesomeness continued when he suggested we try and catch the sunrise the next morning.  mt. bonnell, coffee, and chris are a great way to start the day, even if it’s too cloudy to see the sun.

afterward, i got to add another austin breakfast place to my list when we hit up the omelettry f796697_4or some eats and meandered around a neighborhood looking at houses and for a parkish thingy that was on the map despite eluding us in real life.

the happy streak continued with a grilled muenster and roast beef, productive time at home, and a long awaited reunion with my HH girls.  though i’ve seen K and J individually, it’s been a while since i’ve been able to chill with both at the same time.  the three of us together is one of my favorite trios and i don’t want to go that long without again!

now, at last, i cut and past this week’s friday five.  thanks, cory!

friday five

hey friends!  happy friday!

last week, we introduced and new version of the friday five in which five different bloggers tackle the same question or experience.

read, laugh, roll your eyes, share your own answer, whatever–as long as you enjoy!

this week’s question:

When was the last time you stayed up all night or most of the night?  How was school or work the next day?  What’s your stay-coherent technique on days like that?

friday five 2.0

remember how last year i used to post the friday five in which cory and my kindergarteners would take turn asking each other questions?
it was fun and cute and made you like little kids.

well, about a month ago, i thought and mentioned to cory that we should continue with the friday five, even without the kiddos, only maybe switch it up a bit.  one idea was that we’d have 5 different bloggers do or answer the same thing. cory liked the idea but things were hectic and it we never got it going.

this morning, i layed in bed thinking,”i miss friday five.  i wonder how cory is doing…”.  so you can imagine my surprise and delight when i woke to an email from him initiating the end of the week pasttime that i’ve missed so much.

ladies and gentlemen, i give you friday five 2.0.
hopefully, each friday you will get to read about a question, adventure, or whatever we want from five bloggers across the web.

i realize that it’s barely friday as i type this but the last response didn’t come in til nearly 6 and i do have a life away from my computer so i’m doin what i can.

today’s assignment was posed by cory driver:

1. tell me both of the things you don’t want to put on your blog because 1) was too embarrassing and 2) was too awesome, but awesome only to you and you’re afraid other people wouldn’t get the significance.

since i was thinking of friday five in a weekly sense, i read the questions as meaning “from the past week…” and limited myself to that time frame.
and, after receiving the responses of the other fivers, i realize that i’m wordy.  deal with it.  love it.  whatever. Read the rest of this entry »

saturday’s friday five, super sized

:)

yeah…that makes no sense.  but it’s happening.  amazing things here on hsn, you just never know! ;)

i’ve c & p’d the q & a from cory’s delightful blog.

however, before you read this week’s five, let me give you a bonus five that we meant to post a few weeks ago, on a friday we weren’t able to hook up with the man.

five things we like about cory

  1. we both like mac and cheese.  also, i like that he doesn’t like that buckaroo thingy–that thing covered in chocolate.  he likes texas.  ~jb
  2. i like the questions that he asks.  ~ej
  3. i like that he’s Read the rest of this entry »
